Getting There

By air

From Hannover-Langenhagen Airport: take the S5 train ("S-Bahn") towards Bad Pyrmont and alight at Hannover Central Station ("Hannover Hauptbahnhof"). Trains run every half hour and the journey takes about 20 minutes. You can buy a ticket (which costs about 3 Euro one-way) from one of the machines on the platform. You will need to validate your ticket in one of the small blue machines on the platform before getting on the train. Once you arrive at the "Hauptbahnhof", you will have to change to a tram to get to Leibnizhaus. See "arrival by train" below. 

 

By train

 

Once you arrive at Hannover Central Station ("Hannover Hauptbahnhof"), take tram lines 3, 7 or 9 to "Hannover Markthalle/Landtag" station (2 stops). A map of Hannover’s tram system is available here. Exit "Hannover Markthalle/Landtag" station and head southwest on Karmarschstraße toward Köbelingerstraße. Then turn right onto Leinstraße. Leinstraße turns slightly right and becomes Holzmarkt. Leibnizhaus is located at Holzmarkt 4. It will take about 10 minutes to get to Leibnizhaus from the "Hauptbahnhof".

From the Hotel

When you leave the hotel, head east on Kniestraße toward Heisenstraße. Continue on Kniestraße and turn right onto Engelbosteler Damm. Take either the number 6 or 11 tram from "Hannover Kopernikusstraße" station, which is located on Engelbosteler Damm, towards "Hannover Kröpcke" station (4 stops). Exit "Hannover Kröpcke" station and head southeast on Georgstraße toward Ständehausstraße. Turn right onto Ständehausstraße. Turn left onto Karmarschstraße. Turn right onto Osterstraße. Turn left onto Grupenstraße. Turn right onto Schmiedestraße. Turn left onto Hanns-Lilje-Platz. Turn right onto Am Markte. The take a slight left onto Kramerstraße. Turn left onto Holzmarkt.  Leibnizhaus is located at Holzmarkt 4. It will take about 10 minutes to get to Leibnizhaus from "Hannover Kröpcke" station.
